Argosy Casino Hotel
The Argosy Casino Hotel complex is located just outside of Kansas City in Riverside, MO. Hankins Services worked with Heartland Specialty Contractors at this new complex to incorporate new MCA and vintage Ludowici clay tiles to a 16th century Mediterranean village theme. More tile roofing was actually installed inside the complex than that of the exterior; however the stunning VIP Tower received a green and white checkered board glazed tile that duplicated photographs of an original 400 year old tower located in Spain.
Cerner InnovationKids
Cerner is the leading US supplier of healthcare information technology solutions that optimize clinical and financial outcomes. InnovationKids Child Care Center is a Montessori environment provided by Cerner for the children of its associates. Hankins Services replaced the 40,800 square foot roof at the child care center with a GAF fully adhered 60 mil TPO and sheet metal roof panels, canopy, flashing and trim.
Danisco
Danisco employs over 9,500 people in some 47 countries and is one of the world’s leading producers of food ingredients, enzymes and bio-based solutions. Hankins was selected by Danisco USA for the roof replacement of the Innovation Warehouse at Danisco’s US location in New Century, Kansas. We replaced over 56,200 square feet with a new multi-ply Tremco roof system and architectural sheet metal system.
Mid-Continent Public Library – Buckner Branch
Hankins Services has performed numerous roofing projects within the Mid-Continent Public Library System. On the Buckner Branch, we replaced the 8,000 square foot roof with a Tamko Nailfast underlayment and a Marlarkey Antique Brown Shingle roof system. New sheet metal flashing, trim, gutter and downspouts were also installed.
Shinn Fu Company of America, Inc.
Shinn Fu is located just east of Kansas City’s International Airport and is a leading distributor of hydraulic lift equipment in the US and Canada. Hankins Services installed a Johns Manville mechanically applied single ply roofing system.
Spangler Graphics
Spangler Graphics is a sheet fed and half-web printing company providing quality, full service printing in the Kansas City area. Hankins Services was awarded a contract to replace the roof of North Building A, a 54,400 square foot structure, with a 2-ply GAF modified bitumen roofing system. Hankins installed a GAF Topcoat Elastomeric Roofing Membrane to South Building B, approximately 40,600 square feet.
Two Hallbrook Place
Two Hallbrook Place is located in the Hallbrook Office Park, Kansas City’s largest and most premiere office submarket.
Hankins Services installed a Firestone 60 mil TPO roof system, fabricated ReynoBond composite wall panels, custom stainless steel fabrications, flashing and trim on this 35,186 square foot new office complex.
WW Grainger
Grainger has for many years reached out to Hankins Services for the maintenance, repairs and roof replacements at their Kansas City, Missouri location. We have performed various roofing repairs and roofing projects to over 1,000,000 square feet of Grainger’s buildings.
Education
Herndon Career Center
Raytown School District’s selected Hankins Services to install a Berridge curved zee lock standing seam roof, Centria exterior and interior wall panels and a Firestone SFS modified bituminous membrane roof system to the 62,300 square foot new technical career training center located in Raytown, MO.
KU Structural Biology
The University of Kansas completed phase three & four of the Structural Biology Center, a laboratory facility devoted to the advancement of biomedical and bioscience research. Hankins installed a Johns Manville 2-ply SBS modified bituminous membrane roof system, Berridge tee panel standing seam roof with Centria aluminum siding, Reynobond composite panel siding and Ruskin louvers.
Metropolitan Community College BTC FEMA Storm Shelter
A Tamko SBS modified bitumen roof system and sheet metal flashing & trim were installed on Metropolitan Community College BTC’s new FEMA storm shelter located at their Business & Technology Campus.
Olathe School District’s Heather Ridge Elementary
Hankins Services was awarded the contract on the “New Olathe 32 Elementary” to install a GAF modified roof system on the 71,500 square foot structure, Centria 8mm FormaBond rain screen wall cladding and custom column covers.
Pembroke Hill School’s New Art Center
Installation of a Firestone/UnaClad standing seam roof system with aluminum column covers and custom fabricated galvanized at elevation lobbies and installation of a Firestone 60 mil EPDM were installed on Pembroke Hill School’s New Art Center on their Ward Parkway campus.
Shawnee Mission School District’s Roesland Elementary
Hankins Services installed a Tamko Awa 109FR and a Metecno-Benchmark architectural panel system with gutter and downspouts, flashing and trim to the new 44,000 square foot Roesland Elementary School in the Shawnee Mission School District.
Government
BRAC Regional Correctional Facility
The US Army Corps of Engineers Ft Leavenworth, KS complex continues to enjoy the rich history dating back to 1827 and is the oldest continuously active Army post west of the Mississippi River. Hankins Services was awarded a contract to install 171,000 square feet of a Johns Manville modified bituminous roof system, Berridge standing seam metal roofing, sheet metal flashing and trim to the new Regional Correctional Facility. The facility will house 483 beds and include a warehouse, an engineering and maintenance building.
Civilian Education System
Hankins Services is contracted with JE Dunn Construction Company for the US Army Corps of Engineers to install a Berridge prefinished standing seam roof and a Johns Manville 2-ply modified bituminous membrane roof systems to three of the buildings located within the walls of the historic 1840’s US Disciplinary Barracks (USDB) in Ft Leavenworth KS as part of extensive renovations that will become known as part of the Civilian Education System (CES) building renovation. This long term project eventually will include the complete renovation of Flint, Muir and Truesdell Halls.
Honeywell Federal Mfg & Technologies
Honeywell’s Kansas City plant was established in 1949 and comprises the largest portion of the Bannister Federal Complex in south Kansas City, Missouri. The KC plant manufactures some of the NNSA’s most intricate and technically demanding products. Hankins Services continues to work with Honeywell at their Kansas City plant performing roof repair maintenance. We currently have a new three-year maintenance contract with Honeywell.
Kansas City MO Police Academy
Hankins Services installed asphalt shingles and Johns Manville modified bituminous membrane roof system to Kansas City, Missouri’s new police academy just minutes from the heart of downtown Kansas City.
Healthcare
MAST Ambulance
MAST Ambulance is the sole provider of Emergency Medical Services for Kansas City, Missouri. Hankins Services was awarded to replace MAST Ambulance’s 12,728 square foot southwest bay using Johns Manville SR60 single ply PVC roof system and sheet metal flashing & trim.
Northland LTACH
Northland LTACH is a new 3 story, 26,700 square foot steel structure long term acute care facility. Hankins Services installed a GAF roof system, sheet metal flashing, trim, gutters, downspouts and roof hatch.
Pershing Memorial Hospital
We installed a GAF 3-ply SBS hot mopped roof system over numerous additions and renovations to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield, Missouri. In addition to the low sloped roofing, we installed a Berridge standing seam metal roof system to several canopies to highlight the entries of the hospital.
Historic
18th & Vine Jazz District Redevelopment Phase II
This was a newly constructed apartment building in the historic Kansas City’s 18th & Vine Jazz District. Hankins Services installed an Atas metal shingle roof system over multiple levels of patio balconies.
Corinthian Hall
In 1910, local lumber baron, R.A. Long moved his family into his new 70-room 4 story limestone Beaux-Arts style mansion located on historic Gladstone Blvd. in Northeast Kansas City, Missouri, named for the Corinthian columns at the front portico. In 1940, the Kansas City Museum Association acquired the vacant structure and established the city’s first museum of local and regional history. The residence and estate were listed on the National Registry of Historic Places in 1980. Hankins Services was selected as the contractor to restore the red clay tile roofing and large integral copper gutters. Johns Manville membranes were installed on the now private observation deck and surrounding porticos.
Raphael Hotel
The Raphael Hotel located in Kansas City’s Plaza District is a Spanish Renaissance Revival style historic boutique hotel built in 1927 & patterned after Europe’s finest small hotels. The existing Mission clay tile was removed, the underlayment and flashings were replaced and the original tile relayed. The flat roof was replaced with a GAFMC, 60 mil Everguard, fleece-backed TPO, an ENERGY Star rated reflective, flexible sheet membrane. Hankins also fabricated and installed all related metal flashings and trim.
Starlight Theatre
Starlight Theatre is a landmark outdoor venue for live entertainment which opened in 1950 and is located in Swope Park, Kansas City’s first and largest park. Starlight Theatre is the second-largest theatre of its kind in the United States and the largest and oldest performing arts organization in Kansas City. Hankins Services was awarded a contract to install a Berridge Tee-panel standing seam metal roof system to the theatre’s new ticket booth and two adjacent porticos to which we installed GAFMC Everguard 045 mil white TPO membrane, sheet metal flashings and trim.
Residential
Adams Residence
Mr. and Mrs. Adams selected Hankins Services to perform a complete removal from this perfect example of English Tudor architecture of the existing hail damaged slate roof and matched all five colors of this textural slate roof in the Laisse’ fashion.
Brandmeyer Residence
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brandmeyer’s residence is on the Historic Society’s Registry. This is a one-of-a-kind historic restoration installation of a multi-colored, graduated slate roof with rounded swept valleys and new euro-style copper gutters.
Hall Residence
Hankins Services has done continued maintenance to the Hall’s striking contemporary residence’s membrane covered, walk-in, box gutter system and adjacent unfading green slate roofing in lovely Mission Hills, Kansas.
Jury Residence
Hankins Services removed the damaged slate roof on the Jury residence and installed a semi-weathering gray-green slate roof system and copper box gutters on this historic residence, including matching an ornate early 20th century copper side entry canopy.
Wagstaff Residence
The Wagstaff residence is in the heart of Mission Hills, Kansas. Hankins Services removed and replaced it with a four-color slate roof system and copper box guttering for this three year long basement to attic restoration project.
Religious
Abundant Life Baptist Church
We installed a GAFMC insulated, white SBS modified bitumen roof system with prefinished standing seam roofing, gutters and downspouts to the addition at Abundant Life Baptist Church’s Children’s Educational Wing.
Church of the Annunciation
Hankins Services was contracted by Brooner Construction for the addition and renovations to the Church of the Annunciation located in Kearney, Missouri. Hankins installed asphalt shingles, a GAF 30FR modified bituminous membrane roof system, sheet metal wall panels, flashing and trim and canopy construction to the west entry of Narthex.
Holy Spirit Catholic Church
Hankins Services performed metal roof repairs to the existing steep slope standing seam roof system of the sanctuary roof area at Holy Spirit Catholic Church located in Overland Park, Kansas.
Queen of the Holy Rosary - Wea
Queen of the Holy rosary – Wea is located in Bucyrus, KS and is a parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kansas City, Kansas. Hankins reroofed the 2,000 square foot church steeple with a 50 year Tamko synthetic slate Lamarite shingle system.
