People are our most important asset and their safety is vital to our company’s success. Our workers receive the knowledge, skills, training and experience to work safely. Hankins Services believes every employee is entitled to the highest degree of safety and health standards conducive to their work environment so they may retire in good health upon completion of a long and productive career.
It is a basic responsibility for all of us to make safety and health part of our daily concern, to create safe work practices and work under the safest possible conditions. This responsibility must be accepted by every employee who conducts the affairs of the company, regardless of their position within our company.
This attitude toward safety is evidenced by our outstanding safety record and acknowledgement by the National Nuclear Security Administration “Certificate of Excellence Award 2007”.
Hankins Services provides safety training for all employees from basic employee orientation to 30 hour OSHA training. We currently offer over 150 training modules providing continuing education. We also participate with OSHA in the “Partnership Work Safe Program”.
We currently have an Experience Modification Rating (EMR) factor of 0.63. This reflects an excellent rating for our high-risk industry. This rating demonstrates the strength of our safety process and our commitment to our goal of an injury free work environment. Our company’s low EMR places us in a small elite group of contractors. Through constant diligence, utilizing weekly inspections, assessment compliance, monitoring safety and health requirements, we strive to provide a workplace that is free of occupational injuries.
